ISTANBUL, Turkey and AACHEN, Germany – July 8, 2014 – “We are proud to release our new versions of ingest and workbox with hardware accelerated encoding as a standard component”, says Gültekin Boyraz, CTO avioon. “Using standard Intel processors with the HD 4200 Graphics GPU and above (up to Iris Pro), our customers can now drastically improve their encoding speed. This allows up to 20 channel HD ingest on a Core i7 chipset on standard and pro versions of our software”.
“Our mediaEngine takes advantage of the integrated Intel GPU´s for decoding and encoding of video”, says Muzaffer Beygirci, CEO of nablet. “The Intel IrisPro Graphic gives us fantastic benchmarks: the highly thread optimized mediaEngine can do up to 1050 frames/sec. transcoding speed from DVD to H.264/AAC at 3 Mbit, or parallel transcoding of 30 SD video streams in realtime”.
Integrating nablet mediaEngine for live and file transcoding gives ingest and workbox a great amount of additional live channels as well as more video exports in time critical environments. Including the new features in the workbox, customers can now export multiple files in multiple resolutions and bitrates with a single click. RTMP and other streaming engines also benefit from the additional computing power the Intel GPU gives.
avioon customers can update their copy of avioon ingest for free by contacting sales@avioon.com.
An interesting upgrade option for user of other ingest solutions will be available on avioon.com in the next weeks.
