nablet Joins ReCAP Consortium for Analysis and Processing Solutions

nablet has joined with two other leading European companies and a prominent university to create a consortium dedicated to affordable, scalable and flexible automatic content analysis services. ReCAP (Real-time Content Analysis and Processing), co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Program, unites nablet with NMR, ToolsOnAir and Joanneum Research (JRS).

The media production industry is evolving quickly, but Media Asset Management (MAM) systems are generally proprietary, costly and complex. ReCAP was formed to leverage recent advances in content analysis and processing, to bring an accessible solution to market.

Functionality will include automated metadata extraction, for example detection of logos, faces, temporal segmentation and visual similarity. The system will also include quality analysis and automated tools for repairing quality issues.

“We are proud to participate in this exciting initiative,” said nablet CEO Muzaffer Beygirci. “As content creation explodes in popularity, ReCAP will enable companies of all sizes to leverage industry-leading technologies. We are especially happy to partner with our colleague companies and university, who are leaders in their areas of speciality.”
